March 2nd until April 6th Writers & Books Residency Program using What’s UP with Yuk? at a couple of classrooms at School #14 with Karen Lewis.  Nannette Nocon & Anne Coon met with several 5th graders on March 16th.

Tuscon Festival of Books at the University of Arizona
March 12th and 13th  What’s UP with Yuk? and Ion Wisdom at the country's 4th largest book fair.  Nannette Nocon, Karl Wessendorf and Cynthia Nocon helped sell the books at the Festival. Nannette also spoke at Mrs. Wallace's class at the Catalina Foot Hills where Nannette niece Nina attends school. Writers & Books
August 10th Anne Coon, John Kastner and Nannette Nocon discussed the process of creating What’s UP with Yuk? and Ion Wisdom. Educators, counselors and program directors participated in a wonderful discussion how the books can be used as an educational tool.  The idea was shared that the book is an excellent resource for an adult who is unable to read.  So that the adult can create stories for children without feeling intimidated with words, yet experience the joy of "reading" to a child is brilliant!!  Thank you Alexa Scot-Flaherty and to Writers & Books for this great opportunity.  www.wab.org/

Horizons at Harley
June 21st Book signing.  Nannette and Karl met students, parents, teachers and staff of this great program. Kite Tails LLC donated copies of What’s UP with Yuk? to each of the children enrolled in the program.   A total of 160 books were donated to the children and teachers.  19 of the books were donated by the law firm of Boylan Brown Code Vigdor.   www.horizonsnational.org/harley.php

Artists John Kastner and Paul Knoblauch, whose works were on display at the Other Worlds exhibit at RoCo both gave a fascinating view of their world using their art form. 

April 18th Reception attended by Christ Church Episcopal Church members.
April 22nd Nannette on the creation and self publication of
What’s UP with Yuk? Attended by Cornell University alums and friends. 
April 25th Informal talk about the experience of bringing words to images, followed by a reading of excerpts from soon-to-come Ion Wisdom with Dr. Anne C. Coon at RoCo.  Attended by 50 guests.
April 30th Wine and Cheese Reception at RoCo.  Excellent performance by Tigran Vardanyan, violin & Marc Anderson, viola. 
May 7th First Friday Reception attended by over 250 guests.  360|365 George Eastman House Film Festival reception also held at RoCo.
May 9th Mother's Day. Last day of art and book exhibit a RoCo.
